개체의 좌표를 반환하거나 설정한다.

속성값은 다음 중 하나의 좌표를 나타내는 문자열이다.

area 개체에서 값의 양식은 개체의 shape 애트리뷰트에 따라 다르고 다음과 같다:

shape=circ|circle	coords= 'x1,y1,r' 여기서 x1,y2는 원의 중심 좌표이고, r는 원의 반경이다.
SHAPE=poly|polygon	coords= 'x1,y1,x2,y2...xn,yn' 여기서 각x,y 짝은 다각형의 각 꼭지점의 좌표를 나타낸다.
shape=rect|rectangle	coords= 'x1,y1,x2,y2' 여기서 x1,y1는 직사각형 왼쪽 맨위의 좌표이고, 는 오른쪽 바닥의 좌표이다.

이 속성은 읽기/쓰기이며 디폴트값은 없다.

특기

(영문) W3C DOM Level 1(Document Object Model). 규격에 부합하기 위하여 속성값을 반환하기 전에 이 속성이 개체에 설정되어 있어야 한다.

웹페이지 작성자는 필요한 경우 HTML 4.0에서 정의한 기능성을 개체에 적용하여야 한다.

이속성은 IE6부터 a 개체에도 적용된다.
